Expo Surplus Helps Kids In Need Serve L.A. Schools
By: Staff Issue: 2009may
A successful first-time product harvest at The PPAI Expo 2009 in Las Vegas in January allowed the Kids In Need Foundation to move more than $23,000 worth of surplus promotional products from the show to its Los Angeles-area teacher resource center. Excess products were collected from willing Expo exhibitors at the show’s conclusion.
“The Kids In Need Foundation is extremely grateful for the continued support of PPAI,” says Dave Smith, executive director of the Kids In Need Foundation. “The opportunity to harvest products from this year’s Expo means so much to the children we serve in the Los Angeles area, and donations we received during the past year from PPAI members were part of the $36 million worth of supplies we provided to children nationwide in 2008.”
Smith adds that the need is greater this year and he invites PPAI members to consider donating surplus products throughout the year. Click here for information plus product and financial donation forms. Visit www.ppai.org and click on Kids In Need under the Associate Sites button.
