PPAI News: PPAI Welcomes Four New Board Members

In a Breaking News alert last Friday, PPAI announced the results of this year’s board election and welcomed four new board members as the Class of 2014. The new members of the PPAI board of directors are John Goessling, MAS, Quick Point, Inc.; Lee Strom, SanMar; Brian Swift, Swift Incentives; and Marc Simon, HALO/Lee Wayne Corporation. Simon replaces Tia Walker, Brand It Promotions, who originally accepted the board seat but had to withdraw for personal reasons.

“PPAI is very fortunate to have such a high caliber of individuals who are willing to commit their time and talents to lead the association,” says Nominating Committee chair Stan Breckenridge, MAS, who is also PPAI’s immediate past chair and senior vice president sales and marketing for Sabina. “As an industry, we’re facing a critical time of big issues and tough decisions. I am confident these individuals will provide superior leadership and serve our association and industry well.”

The four will attend an orientation at PPAI Headquarters in November and begin their four-year terms following The PPAI Expo 2010 in Las Vegas.

John Goessling, MAS, is president of Fenton, Missouri-based supplier Quick Point, Inc. (UPIC: QUICKPT). His PPAI involvement includes:

Marc Simon is CEO of Chicago, Illinois-based distributor HALO/Lee Wayne Corp. (UPIC: LEEWAYNE). His PPAI involvement includes serving as Vice Chair of the Strategic Planning/Budget Committee for Promotional Products Education Foundation (PPEF) from 2009-2010, and on the PPEF Board of Trustees from 2008-2011.

Lee Strom is senior marketing manager for Preston, Washington-based supplier SanMar (UPIC: SNMR). His industry involvement includes attendance at major tradeshows, participation in PPAI events and outreach to industry members.

Brian Swift is owner of St. Louis, Missouri-based distributor Swift Incentives (UPIC: Swift647). His PPAI involvement includes:
