Industry News: Senator Promotional Group Names Tidwell New President

As first announced in a PPB Breaking News alert last Friday, Dallas, Texas-based supplier Senator Promotional Group USA (UPIC: DART) has hired industry veteran Bob Tidwell to serve as president and CEO, effective immediately.

In his new role, Tidwell will work directly with the existing SPGUSA management team to increase brand recognition, with a focus on creating and cultivating relationships with new and existing customers.

Michael Nick, president and CEO of Senator Worldwide, says, “We are thrilled to make this announcement and excited about the leadership and guidance Bob will provide to our organization.”

A self-described “hands-on kind of guy,” Tidwell says he is eager to begin learning more about SPGUSA’s customers and products along with working directly with customers.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to be here,” says Tidwell. “All the years I’ve worked in this industry, I’ve heard great things about the company and its products, and I am proud to be joining such a great team.”

Tidwell was most recently a division president for Washington, Missouri-based The Magnet Group (UPIC: magnet) and has worked in the promotional products industry for almost a decade.
