Industry News: Galaxy Balloons Inc. Acquires AGA Balloons

Cleveland, Ohio-based supplier Galaxy Balloons Inc. (UPIC: GALACTIC) has acquired Ashland, Ohio-based supplier AGA Balloons (UPIC: AGABALL). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. AGA’s production and printing equipment will be relocated from their headquarters to Galaxy Balloons’ 100,000 square-foot facility in Cleveland.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a friendly competitor and increase our market share in the balloon industry,” says Terry Brizz, MAS, president of Galaxy Balloons. “There are a lot of synergies between the two companies that make sense for the acquisition.”

AGA Balloons has been in the balloon distribution and printing business since 1995. "We wanted to focus on our core business which is the manufacturing of balloon printing equipment,” Steve Gardner, president of AGA, says about the change.

“Galaxy Balloons is an excellent company. We feel confident that they will continue to offer the same high-quality products and service that we have striven to maintain throughout the years. We wish Terry and his team the best of luck," says Gardner.
