PPAI In Action: PPAI Team Members Visit Geiger, Administer MAS/CAS Exam

PPAI team members continued their outreach to members in December with a visit to Lewiston, Maine-based distributor Geiger (UPIC: geiger). They administered the exam for Master Avertising Specialist/Certified Advertising Specialist (MAS/CAS) to more than 20 employees and also spent time learning about the work done at the distributor’s facilities.

Melissa Hendrick, PPAI director of professional development & business media, says visits like this one are valuable because “we can get out in front of member companies and see what innovative things they’re doing.”

The PPAI team toured the facilities that included viewing a binding process for custom-printed products, and met with marketing team members to review their strategies and company goals.

Hendrick notes that Geiger places a great deal of emphasis on education and work to provide it to all employees, something that has enabled them to attract and retain valuable staff. “MAS/CAS is a culture and a way of thinking within this company,” she says.
