PPAI News: Distributors Ready To Experience The Expo's Energy

Issue: 2010jan

Whether it’s the eye-popping innovations on the show floor, the intense networking opportunities or the in-depth educational sessions, the industry’s largest distributors are on board for next week’s PPAI Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“It’s such a ‘Wow!’ experience for our operators,” says Andrea Stevenson, marketing and special events planning for Press-A-Print (UPIC: pap). “There are so many awesome products on the tradeshow floor. Our operators are like little kids at Christmas.”

The Idaho Falls, Idaho-based distributor is bringing 350 team members to The Expo. In addition to attending a mix of the more than 100 learning experiences offered at this year’s show, Press-A-Print is sponsoring a breakfast honoring supplier partners.

“We’ll also be honoring some of our outstanding operators,” Stevenson says. “We’re always thrilled to recognize our operators’ outstanding leadership skills in the promotional products industry.”

Distributor HALO/Lee Wayne Corporation (UPIC: LEEWAYNE) is bringing 250 people to this year’s show. “We use it as an opportunity to get our sales personnel and staff together,” says Stephanie Preston, marketing manager for the Sterling, Illinois-based company.

In addition to the company’s annual awards gala held during the show week, its distributors come to The Expo to view the latest in promotional products.

“It’s the best opportunity in the industry to see new products,” Preston says.

Distributor Jack Nadel International (UPIC: NADELINC) based in Culver City, California, is bringing more than 150 people to experience the industry boost provided at the show.

“We love the energy of the PPAI show,” says Debbie Abergel, vice president of vendor relations at Jack Nadel. “We are excited to see new 2010 products, strategies suppliers have adopted and, of course, the people.”
